We are looking for an experienced Textile Technologist to join a leading supplier to key High Street names including ASOS, New Look, River Island, Mint Velvet and Urban Outfitters to name a few....
Candidates must have experience working with multiple Client's portals and be adaptable, flexible and ready for a challenge!
Responsibilities include:
Fabric Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of fabrics to identify potential risks related to durability, safety, and compliance.
Pricing Negotiations: Handle fabric price negotiations when necessary to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.
Sustainability Checks: Evaluate fabrics for sustainability and obtain required certifications to meet environmental and industry standards.( Lenzing, GOTS, RCS etc)
TRF Preparation: Prepare Technical Requirement Files (TRF) for fabric orders to ensure all specifications and requirements are clearly communicated.
Test Report Management: Chase and review test reports, ensuring that any issues are addressed and improvements are made to bulk fabric based on test results.
Laboratory Coordination: Send fabrics to accredited labs for testing, ensuring timely and accurate results.
Care Label Orders: Manage the ordering of care labels to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Testing Uploads: Upload testing results to customer systems such as Lighthouse, Interlink, and SGS.
Technical Communication: Discuss any test failures with customer technical teams and work towards satisfactory resolutions.
GCLA Sample Management: Chase GCLA samples from our factory/related team, ensuring they are tested and meet the required standards.
Sustainability Platform Updates: Maintain and update information on sustainability platforms such as InCheck, CleanChain, and Segura.
