Our client is an established manufacturer of high-quality Ladies’ smart tailoring, outerwear and soft separates supplying many of the top-end/premium UK brands. They manufacture garments in North Macedonia and Morocco. As part of their continued expansion, they are looking to build their manufacturing base in Morocco, and to facilitate this growth they are recruiting a Technical / Quality Manager. This can be a FTC of 18 months - 2 years.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Manage existing and support recruitment and training of local Garment Technologists for each of their partner factories.
• Source and evaluate new factories.
• Establish robust social, ethical and quality procedures for all manufacturing units
• Train technicians and establish consistent best practices in all manufacturing units in accordance with procedures
• Monitor all quality documentation, using the information to initiate improvements.
• Report any raw materials quality issues back to Head Office prior to cutting and find solutions
• Work to enhance the client’s relationship with factory management.
Ideal candidate will have:
• Extensive experience in a similar role working for UK and European Premium retail market
• Knowledge of both woven and jersey manufacturing procedures and experience in handling different kinds of materials, woven, and cut & sewn knit.
• Good knowledge of pattern and garment construction
• Problem-solving skills
•Excellent management skills and the ability to adapt and communicate at all levels
• English and ideally a French speaker
• Good Microsoft Office Skills
