Sourcing Executive - Lifestyle Brand

We have a vacancy for an experienced Sourcing Executive, Menswear to join a leading lifestyle Brand based in the West Midlands.

Reporting to the Sourcing Manager the roles exist to manage the day to day of contact for sourcing, leading initiatives and projects with cross-functional partners within the Brand and suppliers.

The individual will be responsible for:

  • Sample management and execution of tech packs.

  • Executing order placement from merchandising and execution meeting expectations on capability, capacity, quality, and performance

  • Update the developmental critical path and hold peers responsible for hitting deadlines across Raw materials, technical, quality and PM.

  • Review targets set by department lead and collaborate with design and technical on how to achieve the targets, advise and guide cross functionally.

  • Aligning with materials to ensure to sample yardage is available for proto making and ensure all key dates are adhered too.

  • Updating all information within our PLM style

  • Action all yarn & raw material commitments with Tier 1 suppliers

  • Be accountable for creation of sample matrix which supports the global business needs ensuring supplier produce these samples to the given timelines aligning calendars with Ecom & retail.

  • Negotiate costing on responsible categories.

  • Proactively update capacity and optimize utilisation, collaborating with merchandising

  • Reviewing forecasts from merchandising and updating commitments with vendors

  • Allocation of styles following the sourcing strategy

  • Advocate the sourcing calendar with all suppliers & ensure all clear on processes and procedures.

  • Align with quality team on test requirements per products

  • Weekly supplier meeting to discuss issues, problem solve and upcoming key dates

  • Creating Vendor line plans and manage all key dates within critical path.

  • Input into the supplier Scorecards from a sourcing POV, working with vendors on improvement plans.

  • Manage and support projects within deadlines and in line with the strategic goals of the department.

  • Managing rebuy processes with our commercial team.

  • Constantly reviewing liability and utilisation where possible

  • Responsible for the day-to-day relationships with the suppliers

  • Travelling to factories to assess capacity, sample making technical ability, and requirements for delivery.

  • Ensuring appropriate, workable TNA across locations and work in process for order execution

  • SKU management & attribution – Creation of skus and attributing correctly before PO raising

  • Constantly benchmark core lines and reviewing insight on product re-engineering opportunities to improve product and lower cost.

  • Responsible for execution of NOOS lines and material purchasing.

  • Identifying vendor partners for key product categories, building season sourcing strategies The successful candidates will be accountable for:

  • Delivering the required profitability of the product and reporting on costing status

  • Reporting on development and buy ready status.

  • On order v line plan status reporting

  • Constantly improve service, cost, and quality

  • Reporting on Key Departmental KPI’s

  • Creating exception reports for weekly meetings

  • Liability reporting

  • Executing individual objectives and plans in line with functional strategic objectives.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Understanding of component pricing

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to interpret and use data in decision making

  • Commercial and financial acumen

  • Brief understanding of trade agreements and external legislation

  • Understanding of garment manufacturing and production management

  • Experience in apparel manufacturing and product creation

  • Some knowledge of garment construction

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience with PLM or similar data management systems

  • Culturally aware, trained & able to be flexible & adaptable to build relationships
