Senior Buyer - Homeware / Fashion

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join a Buying team based at our Client’s Head Office in Carlisle.

Overview of the role:

1. Responsible for sourcing, developing and delivering a commercially focused and well balance product range alongside the Merchandiser

2. Aiming to develop ranges to maximize sales and profit aligned to brand market position/ value.

3. Continually exceed customer expectations through delivering a consistent , commercial , well balanced range

4. Working as part of a team with merchandising, design & QA. Achieving goals in a timely manner

5. Building effective working relationships across the business and developing team members to reach their maximum potential.

6. Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills are essential

7. Creative mind with attention to detail

This is a fast paced and challenging role. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. You will be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines along with the ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own.

Candidate requirements

• Previous experience working as a Buyer / Senior Buyer, trading your own dept and managing a team.

• Experience in Homeware and / or fashion is preferred

• Extensive knowledge of all buying processes.

• A creative, strategic thinker with a commercial approach to buying

• Strong written and verbal communication, with excellent listening & questioning

• Can demonstrate their skills and ability to be flexible in a demanding and constantly changing market.
