Our Client has an urgent vacancy for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist reporting into the CFT Regulatory Affairs Manager, EMEA this position is a regulatory role critical to the Client’s Cosmetic business for the UK, EU and other regions within EMEA.
This is a 12 month Maternity cover to start as soon as possible!
Key responsibilities include:
Ensure that Cosmetic products comply with EU/EMEA regulations with a focus on pack copy content, ingredients and claims permissibility.
Notifies cosmetic products on the EU Cosmetic Product Notification Portal (CPNP), UK CPNP (post- Brexit) and submits cosmetic product notifications to the Albanian Ministry of Health.
Understands Safety Data Sheets and CLP Chemical Notification process required for Home Fragrance Products; supports notifications in Central Europe and IMED.
Answers CE consumer questions for cosmetic products received through customer services in the UK and Poland.
Participates in specific business projects as required.
Candidates with Cosmetics experience will be considered you do not need to be an expert in Fragrance .
Requirements:
To be successful, the person in this role must have scientific and / or regulatory experience, be able to manage priorities for a range of key tasks, work independently and as part of a team and should be self-motivated, organised and detail oriented.
Flexibility is required to address changing priorities.
Ideally this person would be multi-lingual, but must speak English (Polish desired but not essential)
Degree level educated in cosmetic sciences, or other scientific discipline (i.e. Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology)
Relevant experience working within the cosmetic or medical industry.
Ability to understand scientific Regulatory requirements is desired.
Experience in being participating in cross-functional project teams is desired.
Product notification on the EU Cosmetic Product Portal is desired and / or have a willingness to learn.
Other skills required include time management, computer literacy (excel, word, PowerPoint and ability to learn company specific IT systems), team-working and working independently.
Excellent communication at all levels required
This role also requires person to learn and understand the key components of the EU Cosmetic Regulation impacting the Client’s products
Must speak English, but multi-lingual with ability to speak Polish is a distinct advantage
Knowledge of the cosmetic industry and associated regulations is desired.
