Quality Controller

A Client, a highly successful manufacturer and Retailer of Toys has a vacancy for a Quality controller to manage the quality of intake goods at their Banbury warehouse. The individual will be responsible for supporting the QA, safety and compliance of toys . This is a new role and will form an integral part of the QA team’s compliance and due diligence. You will need to be hands on product and ensure accurate data is recorded and maintained on the systems. The role will require you to deal with external suppliers, internal departments at our Head Office and key teams within the warehouse.

The role requires a confident individual with strong organisational skills. Previous experience in a similar quality control role is essential. You will need to be self-motivated and able to use your own initiative in managing the workload. Attention to detail is key and good communication skills are essential. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines is critical.

You must hold a valid UK driving license with a minimum of 12 months driving experience.

Responsibilities

• To conduct in-bound inspections and maintain product marking attributes on the system by SKU.

• Ensuring system attributes are updated with product data for EU allocation purposes.

• Implement and manage process for WEEE, batteries and packaging data by product.

• Due diligence sample weighing for WEEE, batteries and packaging compliance.

• Set a strategy for product returns and subsequence investigations.

• Ensure product pack sizes and dimension data on the system is accurate by SKU

• To implement monthly supplier performance analysis and KPIs.

• Assist the QA team in product testing and investigations where required.

• Management and lead in product reworks where needed.

• Provide support to the warehouse on CE marking requirements.

• Reordering of labels for the warehouse to enable smooth rework process.

Skills required:

• Relevant experience in a similar QC role, working within a busy warehouse environment.

• Toy QA training and support will be provided although previous experience is desirable.

• Must have excellent written and spoken English

• Sound analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

 • Great organisational skills and time management to achieve effective use of time and resources.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure quality communication and information are provided to all levels of management.
