Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated QC Manager to join the team based in Northampton in the UK.
This position focuses on managing Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (Q/A) activities for products for a key UK retail client.
The role can be worked either 5 days a week or 4 days a week.
Key responsibilities include:
• Implementing and overseeing the use of the company’s digital platform CLIV for quality control processes across production stages, traceability, quality assurance, and timely shipments.
• Utilising CLIV tools and features to monitor and track quality metrics, including defect rates, production yield, and compliance with quality standards.
• Generating detailed reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate key quality metrics and performance indicators to the client.
• Managing daily operations and leading a small team of QC professionals.
Education / Experience
• Strong experience in quality control within the clothing or textile industry, including working in a managerial role.
• Qualifications in Textile Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field are an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills to manage and support a team of QC Inspectors.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address quality concerns proactively.
• Skilled in analysing quality issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
Technical Proficiency:
• Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with sustainability standards and safety compliance in textiles.
• Experience in using data analysis tools and reporting platforms for quality tracking is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with quality management software/tools.
