Quality Assurance Inspectors

We have two vacancies for experienced Quality Inspectors to be based at our Client’s depot in Leicestershire.

Purpose of role:

This role within the global QA team is crucial in assessing product arriving at our Client’s UK depot to ensure that the product customers receive is of a leading quality in the value retailer and brand marketplace.

As a QA Product Inspector located in our UK depot, you will be a key member of the global QA team by assessing the inbound product being receipted into the depot from suppliers.

You will be a crucial link in the end to end quality process to ensure our customer receives legally compliance, safe and quality products.

In the future it is foreseen that the role will also involve helping to rectify goods that have arrived where possible, so that they are correct before the customers see it.

Responsibility:

• Responsible and accountable for inspection and reporting on inbound product from key sourcing markets, suppliers or for key business programmes/projects.

• Assess product against the data systems to ensure the product is legally correct before sending out to stores

• Inspect, and where required, separate substandard product

• Report using the Client’s systems to ensure all inspections are recorded, reported and can be data mined.

• Analyse the inspection result to determine if the stock passes the quality inspection procedure

• Build and maintain strong relationships with all QA colleagues and key stakeholder partners inside and outside of the business.

• Understand, support and deliver the Client’s Quality strategy

• Work to agreed key performance indicators

• Participate in any reasonable task requested to support the QA department’s responsibilities, tasks and strategy.

Requirement:

• Ideally candidates will have previous experience in inspecting consumer products or working within a quality function

• Ability to flag issues and make improvement suggestions relating to the day to day tasks undertaken

• Strong communicator, both verbal and written

• Excellent attention to detail to ensure the data you report is detailed and accurate

• Ability to work under own self initiative but as part of a larger Quality team

• Able to remain calm under pressure of business requirements

• Adaptable to change

• Happy working towards deadlines

• Good computer skills

• Good analytical skills, good problem solver

• Passionate about the quality of our Client’s products.

• To be comfortable to be part of the creation of a small new team based in the depot, for a fast paced retail business.

Desirable to have

• Previous QA experience – warehouse or retail

• Knowledge of basic rework tasks

• Experience in a fast-paced fashion business

• Qualification in textile, apparel or consumer product fields
