We have a great opportunity for a junior Quality Assurance Administrator to join a highly successful manufacturer and retailer of toys and games.
Job Purpose
Working within the Quality Assurance team you will be supporting day-to-day activities to aid the smooth-running operation of the department. This will include creation and maintenance of product technical files on domestic products and support in product related incidents and complaints investigations. Getting hands on product will also form a key part of your role.
The role requires a well organised, confident individual who can handle a lot of data accurately. Previous experience in an office environment is desirable. You will be liaising with external suppliers so excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You must hold a valid UK driving license with a minimum of 12 months driving experience.
Responsibilities:
To ensure product technical files on domestic products are created and maintained
To manage the product technical file log ensuring accurate data is recorded.
Capture new SKUs on the domestic technical file log requesting documentation from suppliers.
Obtain retesting on domestic products where appropriate
Support QA Coordinator on customer and store reported product incidents and complaints.
To support the QA Coordinator by dealing with emails and other communications from suppliers where appropriate.
Ensure all supplier communications are understood and instructions are completed in relevant timescales.
Represent the QA team around the business, working closely with buying and customer service teams.
Regular updates to the team over status of domestic product certification
Maintain the QA mailbox ensuring all communications are dealt with within a timely manner and organised appropriately.
Provide general administrative support to the department
Skills & Experience required
Previous experience of working in an office environment supporting departments.
Previous Quality Assurance experience and knowledge of product safety and compliance is an advantage but not essential.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and computer skills in general.
Basic understanding of OneDrive and SharePoint.
