Role Overview
Our Client is a leading Men’s and Womenswear brand. The QA Department based at their Braintree warehouse is responsible for checking the quality of intake coming into the business. Working closely with the technical team (Head Office) to ensure the quality and consistency of client’s products being accepted into the business.
As the Senior Quality Assurance member, you will reporting into the Quality Assurance Manager. You will work closely with the Senior Quality Assurance as well as technical, production, merchandising at the Head Office and warehouse teams to ensure that only products that are up to the client’s high standards reach the stores. Being a team player is a must!
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting the QA team in ensuring the highest company standards for incoming deliveries of clothing,
footwear, jewellry, and accessories (men’s and women’s).
• Prepare & co-ordinate all pre- shipment samples for the following days checks together with the QA
assistant.
• Co-ordinating intake of pre-shipment samples/any other samples with Head Office Technical Assistant for delivery into the warehouse.
• Assessing inbound deliveries against measurement specs, make and pre- shipment samples.
• Documenting failed stock and communicating this information with the QA manager.
• Communication with head office production and technical departments flagging up issues and taking note of pre-shipment comments.
• Where non-compliance occurs, reporting the detail to line manager and assisting in the application of
corrective/preventative action.
• Assisting temps carrying out 100% checks along with help from manager if needed
• Using and understanding stock control systems and communicating to correct parties when moving stock around the business.
Skills, Qualities and Experience:
• Excellent knowledge of Excel/MS Office
• Team player who collaborates with ease
• Demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude to work
• Used to work in a warehouse environment
• A technical background would be an advantage and previous experience in QA is essential
• in fashion, strong attention to detail, some technical knowledge and the ability to look at stock with a commercial eye
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Use an analytical approach to ensure the client’s brand produces beautiful and high-quality
products
• Strong organiser who prioritizes with ease and understands the importance of excellent time management
• The ability to analyse problems and offer solutions
