Working closely with the Director of Product Technology, the Technologist and Buying teams, Product Compliance Manager, and QC teams you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing the product at shipment sample stage to approve bulk shipments from the supply chain partners.
As a key liaison for bulk production you will ensure that Client’s reputation for outstanding quality is maintained and delivered by their international supply chain .
You will also be responsible for overseeing the QC fail process within the UK based distribution centre supporting any qc fails and the teams involved through rework.

As an industry professional you will advise, approve and manage bulk production in partnership with the technologist team across all product categories ensuring all relevant testing/ certificates/ and bulk approvals are in place.
The product categories that you will look after are womenswear, menswear, performance outerwear, accessories, footwear, body care and confectionary.
Key responsibilities include:
• Reviewing all approvals are in place for each product/ colour option- Test reports approved, fabric provenance evidenced (GOTS/ RWS/ GRS) branding is correct to spec’d requirements.
• Assessing bulk shipment samples (Gold seal samples) including fitting, key measurements, and product quality against pre-production specifications and approved pre-production samples.
• Sample management of Shipment samples and product specifications to be passed to our internal QC team.
• Drafting up Shipment approval specifications using PLM and issue to suppliers.
• Work closely with Buying team to ensure fit sessions are scheduled in line with priorities/ critical dates to ensure ex-factory is achieved timely manner.
• Attend any relevant critical path meetings that relate to ex-factory dates and ensure that priorities are managed and cascaded to approvals.
• Work with suppliers to resolve any deliveries that Fail suppliers AQL checks before leaving the factory- minimizing delay to ex-factory, but ensuring Quality issues are resolved ahead of agreeing shipment.
• Manage the assessment and reporting on supplier’s performance at QC check stage, with a key focus on pass/ fail/ commercial approvals for each supplier. Report to the wider business and incorporate into formal seasonal supplier assessment documents.
• Work with the Technologist team to put in place supplier improvement plans/ corrective action, with clear goals and requirements to support improve bulk production- monitor and report on progress.
• Ahead of each season lease with the logistics team to select product for QC checks at the UK DC using the supplier performance report to inform decisions.
• Ensure any 3rd party QC requirements are passed to the QC team and fulfilled.
• Oversee and deliver the QC fail process in the UK Distribution centre as key lead on any QC failures
• Work as the link from supplier QC issues to the Tech team ensuring bulk issues are highlighted and feed to the technology team for future season resolution. Guide suppliers on ways to improve the quality/ processes within their businesses to improve future supply chain performance.
