Our Client a Designer luxury brand is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Production Technologist to join their Technical Team.
This is a full time role, 5 days a week in the east London based office, working hours 9am - 6pm.
As Production Technologist within the team, you will work directly with the Technical Manager, Junior Garment Technologist and Technical Admin Assistant from development handover to bulk delivery with a key focus on fit and quality.

Knowledge Skills and Experience required
Relevant experience within a Technical Production Department
Experience of leading fittings and recording & sending fit comments
Understanding of pattern cutting, good knowledge of fabrics, technical components and sewing techniques
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring critical path is honoured
Experience within a luxury womenswear brand with fashion week and collaboration with ateliers preferred
Experience reading and approving fabric/mill reports
An understanding of complex garment construction, print and embellishment
Maintaining good relationships and communication with our supply base
Tenacious, assertive and determined attitude with excellent attention to detail
Good negotiation, organisational and problem-solving skills
Understanding of complex grading
Critical path experience and overseeing production delivery timelines
Dedicated, hardworking and committed person willing to progress as the company grows
Understanding of AQL reports for bulk approvals
Travel may be required
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Zedonk
Responsibilities
See product through from development handover through to warehouse delivery, fitting alongside design team and creative director for assigned categories
Ensuring clear fit comments and measurements are communicated to factories in a timely manner, considering design aesthetic, factory capability and fabric end use
React and respond to any problem-solving for production
Ensure garments are measured prior to fitting, following minimum measurements requirements
Signing off grading, following grading rules as required to ensure sizing is consistent across the collection
Review golden rules and minimum make standards to ensure quality standards are adhered to
Ensure fit/design changes after SMS is communicated to relevant departments
Signing off final pre-production fit with creative director
Awareness and management of key dates within the critical path for assigned categories across all fit stages, reporting production delivery to the direct team on a weekly basis
Good knowledge of fabric and trim testing. Ability to read and approve mill and lab test reports against testing requirements
Ensure wash test reports are done and approved by customers in line with critical path dates
Take responsibility for approving care label artwork, confirming fibre composition and care instructions to factories
Manage any size and quality issues that may arise and assess any consumer and wholesale returns
Seasonal market research in fit, sizing and finishing to drive continuous product improvement
Participate in seasonal imagery meeting to communicate any aesthetic changes to graphics prior to ecom launch
Chase bulk approvals for fabric and trims in line with critical path
Review and sign off all bulk approval for fabric and trims, updating trackers accordingly
Follow up on shipments of cloth/trims and orders to the factory, communicating with logistics for customer send out and informing the wider teams as required
Reviewing and approving AQL reports ahead of bulk shipment in line with critical path
