My Client a leading althleisure Brand is looking for a Production Coordinator. The key elements of the role is to know the exact stage of all production garments and ensure they are delivered on time, to the highest quality standards.
The Production Coordinator’s position requires someone who is curious, pushing the boundaries, and challenging the norm. The candidate must be proactive in finding innovative solutions to create the best functional product in the marketplace. Motivated by the opportunity to constantly improve product, and push suppliers to be the best with the advantage of being in a smaller team.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsibility to launch POs with factories for: SMS, bulk production, fabric & trim.
· Responsibility for maintaining excellent factory relationships, through all communication channels to ensure people outside our business are fully invested in the product.
· Responsible for the on-time delivery of stock, including identifying potential delivery issues during the product creation process and coordinating solutions, escalating significant issues and working to minimize the commercial impact.
· In conjunction with Product Developers, co-ordinate bulk fabric approvals in line with the critical path.
· Using information from the Product Development Team, request care label artworks from factories and ensure they are correct for production.
· Responsibility for sending barcodes to factories and ensuring they are correct on production.
· Responsibility for checking that all testing required for styles has been approved by the Product Development Team before goods ship.
· Responsibility to measure all pre-shipment garments upon arrival, review with product developer and feed-back comments to the factories on any actions required. Highlighting out of tolerance measures to the business for commercial review.
· Lead on end-of-production AQL reports & inspections at factory, warehouse and in office. This will involve extensive periods of time spent at the factories inspecting goods to the required percentage level and ensuring that product that leaves is of the highest commercial quality.
· Using information from the Design & Development team, place orders for swing ticket attribute stickers and ensure they are correct on production.
· With guidance from the Head of Product, understand the production timelines that each factory requires, to ensure all POs are placed in-line with the critical path.
· Responsibility to ensure the business is up to date with the stage of production for all goods and this is in line with CP dates, chasing for missing information between PO launch and x-factory and ensuring product leaves in a timely manner
· Ensuring cost-prices on PO & Range Plan are up-to-date post PO launch, highlighting any changes to the Head of Product before sending approval to the factories.
· Record x-factory data, delay reasons and other critical information in the production planner. On a weekly basis, present to the team the order status in email and trading updates. Use this data to facilitate seasonal factory evaluations, setting suppliers KPIs to achieve an improved performance. With Head of Product, present to the factories their KPIs in a constructive manner.
· Bulk Trim Bookings: calculate from POs the factory trim requirements & yearly stock levels, after approval from the Head of Product, place bookings with suppliers & chase factories to ensure POs are placed. Counter-source trim with new vendors for cost, quality & service improvements.
· Keep up to date the costing history sheet, with the final PO prices. Check invoice costs match the PO, any discrepancies to be flagged to Head of Product and factory.
· To be involved in Product Range Planning meetings, to allow smooth handover between development & production stages.
· Responsibility for categorizing & recording all Raw Material inventory, including fabric & trims. Monitoring when any reorders are required. Organize & manage the fabric & trim library.
· Follow requests from Product Developers to send fabric & trim to factories to support sampling (from library), ensuring inventory lists are updated.
· Assisting with factory sourcing for existing and new product areas.
· Travel to factories when required, this may include at short notice, based in Europe, Turkey and the Far East.
· Proactive involvement in the improvement of current processes and with the help of the team implement new procedures.
· Demonstrate an innovative & creative approach to critical thinking & decision making, including a sense of urgency when required.

EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
· Proven experience within a brand, supplier or factory environment, working as a Production Coordinator with an excellent knowledge of garment construction, production methods and quality standards.
· Confident and proactive individual with excellent time management and organisational and communication skills.
· Meticulous attention to detail and motivated to create the best product In the market.
· Excellent knowledge in sportswear fabrics, and technical construction and direct fabric/trim development.
· Hungry to keep a step ahead against our competitors.
· High-performer, entrepreneurial attitude with consideration to the entire business
· Confident and proactive individual with excellent time management and organisational and communication skills.
· Experience in working with global manufacturing partners (Europe and Far East)
· Good knowledge in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
· Basic to proficient knowledge of Illustrator preferred but not essential.
