Our Client, a comfort-led, lifestyle brand making functional, stylish, clothing for men and women, has a great opportunity for an experienced Product Developer to join their team for a part-time 12 contract covering maternity leave. Sitting within the Design team and working very closely with the Head of Creative and production team, you will play an integral role in the development and growth of the product ranges where you will take full ownership of managing all brand collaborations and accessory developments.
The Role:
Working with the Head of Creative to plan and develop new styles required for collaborations & lifestyle products.
Managing collaborations throughout all stages of the critical path. Being the main contact with the client & production team.
Working on the development and sourcing of new products & suppliers.
Obtaining initial costs and onboarding documents from suppliers.
Working closely with suppliers and factories on the development and cost negotiation, whilst managing lead times, MOQ’s and reporting to the production team.
Overseeing all proto sessions to ensure product is developed and fitted correct for market.
Support the Garment Technician with any troubleshooting that might arise and work together to resolve quickly and efficiently.
Liaising with internal team members across all departments as and when required.
Organising all SMS details, order quantities and handovers to production / web / merchandising teams.
Attending regular design & production meetings to update the team of sampling / critical path progress and troubleshooting to ensure timings are kept on track.
Consistently evaluating and improving quality standards.
The Candidate:
Relevant experience working in a product development role.
Experience working with lifestyle products and accessories
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Understanding of a workroom environment and able to adapt to different situations.
Experience & knowledge of working with luxury brands.
Passionate about attention to detail and strong knowledge of industry guidelines and standards.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Team player and able to work under pressure calmly.
