Purpose of role:
Reporting to the Head of Compliance the Chemical Compliance Business Partner will support the buying teams with a commercial and proactive compliance service that ensures the Client’s products are compliant with the regulatory requirements in their trading countries
Product and Process:
• Under the leadership of the Head of Compliance the successful candidate will deliver the compliance strategy, aligned to the quality strategy that ensures the Client is legally compliant in all trading countries and enables our future plans.
• Implement agreed compliance processes in line with the Client’s quality strategy.
• Working with the buying teams to identify and share product risk by market with a commercial & reputational focus providing recommendations.
• Support the business requirements for new markets, highlighting issues by product type and ensuring commercial and proactive solutions to mitigate risks
• Work with QA teams globally and global partners to develop a best practice compliance end to end process.
• The Chemical Compliance Business Partner will work in partnership with the QA teams ensure the departmental QA manuals are updated in accordance with business requirements
• Review and approve all packaging and brand manuals to ensure conformance to Product Compliance.
• Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with relevant local authorities, legal teams and government organisations.
• Work with key internal stakeholders such as customer services, legal & retail teams to support them in their issue management & resolution in each of our markets.
• Oversee the design & delivery of a robust quality and compliance training programme for the buying and quality teams to support the business both that is relevant for all product categorises and trading markets.
• Using your internal and external network to raise the profile of compliance across the company and its importance of securing compliant trading
• Using your experience and technical knowledge to support our supplier and product risk analysis, supporting the business’ awareness of the cost of non-compliance
• Oversee the day to day management of the compliance portal and identify ways in which this can be improved.
• Support quarterly B&M reviews across all product ranges.
Suppliers and Service Provider
• The Chemical Compliance Business Partner will be a representative for compliance within the Client’s supply base
• Work with key stakeholders in our sourcing and quality teams to drive supplier improvement and to ensure key suppliers deliver more value & service and are aware of compliance updates and issues
• Pro-actively make internal stakeholders aware of any issues arising from compliance interaction with suppliers to ensure a global team approach to issue resolution.
• Excellent attention to detail and an ability to analyse and interrogate high volumes of data as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on higher level overview.
• Proven ability in managing sensitive matters whilst ensuring all of the Client’s information remains confidential to the business.
