This role is available at both Junior and Senior levels, depending on experience and expertise and is available to candidates from outside The Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities:
For Junior Profiles:
Packaging Bill of Materials (BoM) Management – Maintain and verify BoMs, ensuring accuracy across pre-production and mass production.
Artwork Briefings – Create detailed artwork briefings, ensuring compliance with requirements across multiple distribution markets.
Regulatory Compliance – Stay updated on global packaging legislation and ensure compliance with all mandatory regulations.
Team Support – Assist the traffic team during low production periods and provide holiday cover when necessary.
Design Software Proficiency – Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) to support packaging design.
Sustainability Awareness – Demonstrate knowledge of sustainable packaging practices and contribute to the company’s environmental goals.
For Senior Profiles:
Strategic Advisory – Provide expert advice to Category Management on packaging improvements and innovations.
Packaging Policy Development – Develop and update packaging policies to optimize product packaging strategies.
Operational Implementation – Convert packaging policies into clear objectives, measures, and specifications.
Data Analysis & Reporting – Analyze packaging data and prepare management reports to support waste management initiatives.
Regulatory Leadership – Lead the implementation of packaging legislation updates across the organization.
Sustainability Leadership – Drive sustainability initiatives in packaging to align with business goals.
Team Management – Oversee and mentor Junior Packaging Specialists, ensuring effective training and professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Relevant experience in packaging, design, or a similar role.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a pragmatic mindset.
Basic understanding of packaging legislation and sustainability practices.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Retail experience is preferred.
Knowledge of EU legislation for non-food items is a plus or a willingness to learn
Strong English language skills.
Based in or near Amsterdam, with the ability to work in-office at least 80% of the time.
