Manufacturing Coordinator

Our Client is a Womenswear lingerie brand launched in 2017, manufacturing in-house in London and selling direct to customers online. As a result of their success the Brand is looking to scale up production and are recruiting a Manufacturing Coordinator to manage the daily administration and planning for the factory.

The Manufacturing Coordinator will be part of a small but fast growing team and will work alongside the Production Supervisor to manage the production flow of the factory.

Responsibilities for Manufacturing Coordinator:

  • Manage the factory admin, schedule, ordering materials and general organisation of the factory

  • Give the final sign off on patterns, markers, product and materials before each production run

  • Work with the production supervisor to manage the factory day to day

  • Work with the CEO and Product Developer to sample new products and prepare products for production

  • Give constructive feedback to the Product Developer on new samples e.g. on fabric usage production techniques.

  • Liaise with suppliers to order materials, arrange machine servicing, receive sampling and bulk orders

  • Monitor production coming off the line to ensure deadlines are met

  • Support the business if needed with other tasks including stock takes, shipping, inventory management.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Management experience coordinating manufacturing for a medium/large scale factory

  • A positive, hardworking attitude

  • An eye for detail and perfection

  • A good understanding of patterns and specs , knowledge of lingerie would be a distinct advantage

  • Experience with pattern and marker software.- Vetigraph preferred but training can be provided if needed.

  • Experience liaising and negotiating with suppliers

  • Ability to work to budgets and deadlines according to the needs of the business

  • Real enthusiasm and motivation to support the Clients continued grow and the ability to support the factory in scaling up
