Assistant Merchandiser

Initial 3 month contract - Position closed

Our Client a successful, womenswear designer casual wear Brand is looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join the team.

This position can be worked on a full time or part time/ flexible working basis. The Brand is based in central London.

The candidate needs to be enthusiastic about fashion , possess a calm disposition and willingness to roll their sleeves up!

Responsibilities:

• Creation of excel spreadsheets for the analysis of sales ,returns and profitability for online and stores, proposing actions and presenting information in trade/Lessons Learnt/product sign off meetings

• Allocation of stock for online and stores versus plan / forecast

• Management of intake by supplier / category / season

• Markdown proposals

• WSSI , OTB and line card management with the Merchandiser

• Point of contact for SOR merchandising and Client logistics provider

• Sales ,returns , profit and stock turn data at total , seasonal ,category , style ,size and colour level

• Involvement in range planning , photoshoots and marketing strategies .

• Regular communication with Client merchandising and store team

• Computer Literate – Advanced Excel Skills required

• Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to thrive in a fast paced ,entrepreneurial environment

• Pro-active approach , team player and the ability to overcome obstacles

• Positive ”Can-do “attitude. Team player .

• Previous experience in a Assistant Merchandiser role ideally within a fast-paced fashion retailer.
