Are you the next Head of Ethics & Community for a leading lifestyle brand?
We’re looking for someone to join the Sustainability team, to own, manage, implement, deliver and develop our Client’s Strategy, Risk, and Communications (Internal & Externally) as well as developing and implementing Supply Chain Community projects.
Role Responsibilities:
Owning, managing, Implementing & continually developing the Ethical Compliance strategy.
Developing Community projects and relationships within our supply chain partners.
Continually developing and rolling out Ethical Audit programme across the supply chain globally– Own the KPI for audit of entire supply chain (T1-4)
Reporting progress using relevant KPI’s as well as additional media like Sustainability Reporting, Website etc
Communication (internal and external) of all aspects Ethical & Community across all levels of the business and our community.
Proactively monitor and manage any Ethical risk within ours and the wider industry supply chain globally.
Direct engagement with supply chain to serve as the Client’s suppliers main point of contact and relationship holder.
Management of key stakeholder relations within Sourcing & Material functions to ensure
Ethical management is always the core consideration.
Support other key business stakeholders and Chief Executives (Including relevant training, communications etc)
Management of the Ethical team
Oversee the Implementation and development of corrective action plans with suppliers to drive performance.
Annual Modern Slavery Report & Ethical Sustainability Reporting.
Candidate requirements:
Essential Criteria:
Full understanding of ethical management and compliance within apparel supply chains
Ability to manage stakeholders internally with competing priorities to ensure ethical management is prioritised
Technical understanding of textile / apparel manufacturing supply chains
Experience in managing supplier audit programmes
Experience with the delivery and management of projects of varying complexity ideally in partnership within supply chains
Ability to manage and build relationships with suppliers – Especially with regards to ensuring the Client’s Ethical Compliance strategy is understood, implemented and a core aspect of that supplier’s relationship with the Client.
Excellent data and reporting skills
Ability to network and build strong relationships internally and externally
Leadership / Management:
Ability to manage independently supplier visits and agendas which deliver value
Desirable skills:
Storytelling and ability to communicate Ethical compliance internally and with the wider community
Oversee the development and delivery of relevant training material
Ability to ‘step-in’ to lead and support when needed on projects
Confidence travelling to suppliers globally and working within the supply chain
This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in the office
