We are looking for an experienced Garment Technologist to work with a leading and highly successful supplier to the high street. The successful candidate will work with Outerwear and Softs and must have proven experience in these products.
The chosen candidate will:
• Work with the in house designers and sample room to prepare technical first samples and specs from initial design sketches
• Develop all sealing and production samples to meet customer expectations of quality and fit
• Manage the fit comments, size specs and graded size specs liaising with factories on a daily basis to ensure all amendments are understood and corrected
• Attend customer fit meetings and manage the critical path throughout the product approval process
• Issue fabric and product testing requirements . Manage text reports to ensure they meet all legal standards.
• Manage and update the production critical path liaising with the sales and merchandisers to ensure all deadlines are met
• Regular meetings with the production team to discuss critical path and identify any potential issues
• Liaise with the offshore Suppliers on a daily basis and ensure all QC checks are carried out and production meets customer requirements.
Experience required
• A degree or relevant qualification in Fashion or Textiles.
• Relevant experience in similar technologist role, with solid Womenswear Outerwear and Softs experience
• Must have previous experience of working with offshore FE factories
• Must have experience in testing and legal compliance
• Candidates must have previous experience of working with leading UK High Street Customers and brands such as ASOS, M&S, Morrisons, Primark
