We are recruiting for a Footwear and/or Accessories Technologist to work within the established Technical department of a leading Heritage Brand. You will cover all footwear and accessory ranges within the brand, across Men's, Women's and Collaborations.

This is a 6 month FTC, 5 days a week in the office, immediate start.

The Role

· Update product fit comments and sample feedback, providing technical instructions to the suppliers

· Updating the critical path from proto sample to bulk production, in conjunction with the product development and production planning team

· Assist the Technical manager with the fitting and approval of sealing samples and preparing graded size charts for production

· Liaise with suppliers and factories to ensure technical issues are resolved and within the best available time frame

· Assessing final AQL inspection reports, liaising with the production department to facilitate the maintenance of required ex-factory dates

About You

This is a great role for an experienced footwear and accessories technologist, who wishes to broaden their technical knowledge within a brand environment.

· A basic understanding of footwear fitting, grading, construction and manufacture

· Relevant experience in a similar role

· The ability to effectively communicate across internal departments and external sources, both verbally and in writing

· Knowledge of fabric, lab testing and assessment of results

· Knowledge of CAD/CAM

· Ability to work in structured and timely manner under pressure within a team environment.

· Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. (Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator would be useful)
