Our client is a small but highly successful supplier looking for an established multiproduct Assistant Garment Technologist to work on predominantly jersey, loungewear and activewear accounts for High Street fashion. Unisex experience would be beneficial.

The role is part time , 3 days working Monday, Tuesday & Friday

Duties include:

Creating initial fit logs and tech packs to send to factories- by measuring customer ref samples or amending block measurements.
Keep a track of and update customer block measurement templates library as necessary.
Developing and approving Lab dips, bulk fabrics and trims
Developing styles from 1st fit through to sealing, PP and through production to delivery.
Measuring and assessing all samples before sending to customers.
Fitting with customers where necessary.
Must be confident in developing surface decoration, e.g print and embroidery alongside silhouette.
Relaying all comments accurately to factories, and chasing samples to ensure sealing is on time.
Creating graded specs and approve grading for production.
Ensuring all comments have been actioned before production.
Updating office samples library.
Updating critical path with all necessary information as well as internal documents, and sharing this with the team on a weekly basis.
Working with the production coordinator to approve labelling, SKU stickers and packaging details.
As a small team there is some crossover between roles, but we are looking for someone organised who can take charge of their own styles and accounts, feels confident speaking directly to brands and can fit into the team.
Must have previous experience in garment technology working with multi product categories and preferably have an understanding of fashion supplier’s procedures.
Candidates must have good communication skills, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Adobe Photoshop Illustrator experience.
The role will report into the company Director.
