We have a great role with a highly successful supplier to the high street. Your role within the company will be as follows:
1) Manage your own customer accounts and develop a good relationship with the customers to increase company sales
2) Organising regular meetings with your customers and maximize the sales and growth opportunities across accounts.
3) Requesting prices from the Far East suppliers and working through the costings for the customer, negotiating prices with both the customer and factory to successfully take the orders while maintaining the company target margin.
4) Must meet monthly Sales targets which will be set by the Director , this will be reviewed at the weekly sales meeting.
5) Liaising with the factories, your account merchandiser, your designer and the customers to ensure all orders run smoothly and are on time, oversee the production management of all of your running orders.
6) Working with the design team to ensure all sales meetings are followed up quickly and everything is completed as per the customers’ requests. Develop product with the design team which is in line with the customer’s target prices and maintains company margin.
7) Chase up all outstanding development samples for customer accounts and ensure the accounts are serviced to a high standard.
8) Constantly sourcing new fabrics from our current suppliers and developing new suppliers on fabrics and accessories which are on trend and correctly priced to meet our customers target margins.
9) Weekly critical path meeting with your production team handling your orders to ensure all issues have been raised to the customer, any delivery extensions / discounts are requested.
10) Identify new customer accounts and work with the Director to bring in new customers to the business.
11) Regularly comp shop your accounts competitors to ensure our seasonal product offer is new, in line with competitors retail prices and on trend
12) Regular shopping trips to Europe, USA, Far East, London with the design and sales team
Candidate Requirements:
• Relevant experience in a previous role, preferably on the supplier side
• Must have a relevant fashion / technical degree
• Must have a very strong understanding of the figures as candidate will calculate all of their prices manually from factory cost price through to customer landed price. Must have outstanding numerical skills
• Candidate needs to have a proven track record of growing sales in previous employment and also bringing in new business
• Candidate must understand the process of the business from design concept through to manufacturing the finished product. Must understand factory lead times
• Candidates needs to be a strong negotiator to get the best factory prices and also a good communicator with the customers
• Sales Bonus in May each year if sales targets are met.
Upon achieving your agreed sales target, and the sales team reaching its minimum
combined annual sales target, you will receive a sales bonus, directly linked to the sales you make on your
customer accounts for the year.
Based on the live accounts the candidate will be given you can expect to
receive a bonus equating to around an additional 3 months’ salary
