We have an excellent role for a Senior Product Developer to join a leading lifestyle brand!
You will be responsible for independently managing the execution of your styles from concept to launch. You will bring to market, world class, fit for purpose product, built and engineered to the client’s standards. As a Senior you will be responsible for the day to day operational tasks, to deliver the goals and objectives as set by the Development Manager – in line with the company vision.
You will use your technical skills and expertise to bring to life exciting and functional product for the consumer. As a Senior Product Developer, you will collaborate with and support the Development Manager in delivering the seasonal strategies.
In a nutshell, we are looking for candidates with:
In-depth knowledge of garment construction, fit and engineering skills on seamless product.
Proven track record working with global activewear/sportswear apparel brands and expertise in performance fabrics & finishes.
Experience with circular knit machines and products.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Adobe Illustrator and PLM (experience of Centric an advantage).
Strong commercial awareness with an ability to identify risk and confidently provide solution.
Experience with fitting & grading tubular/seamless styles, knowledge of choosing thread and stitch types for active-wear and seamless products.
Qualification in Apparel constructions or a related field.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with teams in Design, Sustainability, Materials, etc…
The drive to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Santoni experience/knowledge highly desirable.
You will be responsible for:
Confidently leading fittings and proto reviews including analysing and communicating the outcome of fittings and construction with cross functional and regional teams and vendors.
Management of garments to ensure compliance of measurements, quality, construction and fit.
Understanding, recommending and executing commercial construction solutions.
Developing and creating Tech Packs and BOM’s with high level of accuracy and attention to detail which includes
Independently managing styles/collections from concept to launch
Planning and organising allocated workload and supporting junior team members.
Co-ordinating daily communication with Regional offices and cross functional teams to plan and execute all aspects of development.
Holding key relationships cross functionally to meet seasonal targets to deliver quality products, against target margins whilst maintaining Design aesthetics, and adhering to Product briefs
Engaging in R&D to ensure world class garment construction and engineering.
Reporting and tracking against the Product Creation Calendar and Critical Path.
Collaborating with Materials team on new fabric, trim and logo developments, bringing a high level of inputs and considerations to fabric selection meetings, ensuring products are built fit for purpose.
Co-ordinate Design/Development workshops to action pre-costing and development. Confidently managing and supports Design handovers.
Lead on partnerships with Development Lab to bring to life new and exciting product.
Identify styles that require wear testing, and manage accordingly.
Vendor management and relationship building which will include travelling independently to overseas to suppliers to effectively manage development of styles.
Driving the execution of seasonal projects.
